What does No Win, No Fee mean?

A No Win, No Fee arrangement means you will not pay our professional fees unless your outcome is successful. If your matter does not succeed, you will not be charged for the legal work we have completed. This approach removes financial barriers, allowing you to focus on your peace of mind while we take care of managing your claim.

What are the benefits of a No win, No Fee arrangement?

No upfront costs
You don’t need to pay professional legal fees before your matter begins, making professional advice more accessible.

No ongoing legal fees
We handle your case without requiring payment during the process. While evidence such as medical reports may involve costs, these will be explained upfront.

No impact on your claim
A No Win, No Fee agreement doesn’t affect the amount of compensation you can claim.

No Win No Fee Practice Areas

Our no win no fee service is available in various areas of our practice as follows:

  • Total and permanent Disability (TPD)
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Workplace injuries
  • Catastrophic and severe injuries
  • Public liability
  • Slip and fall accidents
  • Lifestyle accidents

It is essential that you understand that if you proceed with a case and are unsuccessful, costs may be awarded against you. While you will not pay our professional fees if your matter is unsuccessful, it is important to understand that the court may still order you to pay the other party’s costs. This approach is consistent with Section 300 of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld).

Our cost agreement outlines all the details of our legal fees in clear, straightforward language, no confusing legal jargon. If you ever want to go over anything, we’re more than happy to walk you through it so you feel confident and fully supported when working with us.

Capped Legal cost

Section 347 of the Legal Profession Act QLD (LPA) sets limits on what a law firm can charge for speculative personal injury claims in Queensland. Under this law, a personal injury solicitor cannot charge more than 50% of the net settlement amount. This does not mean you will pay half your settlement in legal fees—it simply means there is a cap to ensure fees remain fair and reasonable.
