How did you first become interested in rugby league, and what drew you to the sport?
My introduction to rugby league came through my father, a devoted follower of the sport. Can you describe a game or moment in rugby league that was particularly meaningful to you?
During my high school years in the late 80’s, early 90’s my father and a couple of my mates would attend the Brisbane Origin game each year. Even though Origin was still in its infancy it was starting to gain momentum and we loved exposing newbies to the intensity and spirit of Origin. The passion and camaraderie shared among fans, combined with the thrilling atmosphere of the games, created lasting memories and they became hooked for life.
How does the game of rugby league bring the Queensland community together?
Rugby league serves as a unifying force in our community, from attending training sessions to game days or social gatherings.
